A Fresh Smell

About a month ago, my sweet husband purchased a used car. Unfortunately, the vehicle had an unpleasant odor in it. Because of the strong smell in the car, my husband didn’t even want to drive it anywhere. So, he began researching ways to remove pungent odors from vehicles. He put cat litter, newspapers, baking soda, vinegar, and fabric softeners in the car. My determined spouse also took his vehicle to a professional auto detailer in order to have the carpets in it shampooed. Finally, my husband replaced the cabin air filter in the automobile. Thankfully, his hard efforts paid off. Once the bad smell was gone, he began enjoying driving his new car. On this blog, I hope you will discover tips to help you keep your vehicles smelling fresh all of the time. Enjoy!

3 Items Your Mobile Fleet Always Needs to Take with Them

Good maintenance on a truck is crucial, as it will make sure that the drivers are constantly able to deliver their loads. It also means that you are able to continue to bring in money to the business without any delays on contracts. In order to keep your drivers on the road, you should assemble a mobile fleet maintenance crew that can be dispatched if any drivers are having issues with their trucks. So that your maintenance workers are always prepared for any issues, here are three things that they should take so that they perform a good job.

Driving a tow truck with an extra truck cab

One of the first things that all mobile repair persons will need is a truck cab and a tow truck. This will allow them to switch out truck cabs if there is an engine issue and allow the truck driver to continue to go along their route. The truck cab can then be brought back to the shop to be worked on via the tow truck that your maintenance worker will drive. Having a tow truck also makes it easier to transport any major truck parts if the current driver of the truck knows what is wrong with the car.

Cones and road signs

Pulling over a truck and performing work on a big load is very different than working on a small car on the side of the road. If you are having issues with having a big truck on a road, the maintenance worker and the truck driver will need to be safe. For this reason, carrying road cones to notify other drivers that there is a closed portion of the lane, as well as road signs, can make things safe for everyone. Make sure that the signs and the cones have glow in the dark properties so that they are easily viewed and read at night.

Extra cables, clamps, and seals

Sometimes if the issue is a leak in the cables and cords, this can be an easy change with new cables or cable clips. Since truck engines will require different parts than vehicles sometimes, bringing along these parts can make a repair easy. The clamps and cables should be properly labeled in and in bags so that it would be easier to determine which parts go to which types of trucks. Bringing along materials that are a quick fix, but may not be easily found at auto repair shops will make mobile fleet repairs simple.
